New Items

Well I have added a few new items to the shop that I haven't mentioned. First I added a crochet hat. I have crocheted for a long time, but nothing on Etsy until last week. The best part about the hat is that my little peanut is wearing it :) She is the best model.

Also, I added today a new doll. Her name is Thuy (named after my first custom Asian order) and she is the Asian version of the dolls I already have posted. Since I have had 3 requests for Asian dolls I thought it might be time to add them to the inventory :)

Favorites Friday

Well this week I plan on doing two favorites, the first one is one I came across in the chat rooms. It is http://www.treeforyou.etsy.com/ she has the coolest idea. I am always excited when I come across something truly original and something I personally have never thought of. They are necklaces with a bottle (which I've seen w/perfume and things like that), and in the bottle is a little tree.

Isn't that the neatest thing? If you, or someone you know, are really eco excited I thought it would be a great gift.

Another artist that I appreciate is http://themidnightorange.etsy.com/ she has some really cute and kid friendly prints for a great price.

I tend to enjoy prints, mainly because it is something that I don't do. I have a hard time purchasing something that I know I could make. Prints are something I know I can't. The other interesting thing about her work is that the prints are of sculptures that she has done.

Again thought that it was a very interesting and original idea. Please show her some etsy love as well.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Well I got so busy last week that I didn't do my Friday Favorites so this week I plan on having two. I had so much going on last week, I had a craft show on Saturday. Which would not have been that bad had I not forgotten until Wednesday that it was that weekend, ahhh!!!

So I made 3 dolls, 2 dresses, and did the normal family related things in 3 days. That is some craziness :)

So anyway now I will begin my search for two shops to focus on this week. I'll definitely be back by Friday.

Overwhelmed

Lately I have been feeling very overwhelmed. It is alot to work, love, and craft. I work a full time job which is 6 days a week and an 8 hour day. I have a two year old daughter and a boyfriend who need some love and attention, and I have lots of craft projects to get done, not to mention general house work. Sorry to everyone in my life if I can't get to all of it :)
I don't know why but lately it just seems to be too much, anyone else feeling this way? Maybe it is the moon or something :)

Favorites Friday

Well my favorite for this week is something I did purchase. I haven't received them yet, but that doesn't mean I'm not super excited.

They are from http://www.vireo.etsy.com which is done by Ashley Cruikshank. She does originals, prints, and even some glass jewelry with her prints on them.

Hopefully everyone else thinks they are as pretty as I do.

The Etsy Chats

Well everyone I have been spending some time in the Etsy chat rooms. I have to say I really enjoy them. You get to know some new people, and even if it is not something you are looking for you can keep them in mind for later.

The other thing I have enjoyed from the chats is trading. So far I think I have made some really great deals. I haven't gotten my items yet, but I am still really excited.

They also have some featured seller rooms. I was only featured once for all the time I have spent in them. It also seems a lot of the stuff is sorry to say, not that nice. Or if it is nice is overpriced or just not my taste. There is always a lot of jewelry which is not my thing (I make my own), or it is people trying to make the first sale. Don't get me wrong I can relate it was only a week or so ago I got mine.

I have added some change purses to the www.CABTeam.etsy.com store also. They are for donations. So anyone interested in change purses check them out.

I also added a new bag after the extended weekend. I think it came out great!!! Let me know what you think.

Well today is my first Friday. I have chosen my favorite for the week. I saw these gloves on http://www.happiknits.etsy.com/. I follow Becca's blog and she was showing how wonderful her photos came out. These are my absolute favorite. When I get some money together they are first on my list.

Favorites Fridays?

Well I had a thought a little while ago and it was also recommended in the labs today, that when you blog you should feature other peoples things.
So I was thinking maybe do something like Favorites Fridays (I know it doesn't look right, but when I say it, it makes sense).
What I thought could be fun is maybe start with someone random and I will pick my favorite thing from there Etsy store and all my followers could possibly post in the comments there favorite things from the store.
Let me know what everyone thinks and I'll start with one of the stores who follow me and we can go from there.
