First Sale

Well I am happy to report I made my first real sale!!! I sold one of my dolls as a custom order and I will post a picture on here as soon as I get a chance. Also, in reference to the labs. I did make it for the Friday lab. It was for critiques and was ok. The girl who runs it (which is the same person who does the Etsy Success newsletter) is really fun. She wants to help out everyone so she picks the questions that would apply to more people. I thought it would be more on a one on one basis. I did get a lot out of it though, give it a try when you get a chance.

I was on the Etsy virtual labs last night and I have to say it was an odd experience. I've never done them before and it was fun chatting with the other people. Unfortunatly the session I was waiting for got pushed back an hour and I didn't get to do it. I was looking to do the critique. They are doing it again today at 4 EST so hopefully i can get in on it. If I get in on it and get some tips I'll be happy to pass them along.

New Items

Well I have some interesting news for today. I have added some new items to my shop, which I have miraculously figured out how to add to this blog.
The ones I added this morning are some childrens dolls. They were a lot of fun to make and Molly really enjoys them. They are completely kid friendly, as nothing can fall off of them.
Check them out and let me know what you think.
I'm also very excited because I made my first big girl pants. I made a great pair of pants for myself and if I can get my boyfriend to take a picture of me wearing them I will post them too. They came out awesome (if I do say so myself)

My First Day

This is my very first day as a blogger. I'm not really sure how this works, my assumption is that you just write about whatever makes you happy that other people may enjoy too.

So....
About me, I am a mother first, girlfriend second, and crazy crafter third (although my boyfriend may argue that order).
My daughter's name is Molly. She is almost 2 1/2 and she is the light of my life. She is very good at playing with her toys and letting me sew or crochet or whatever project I happen to be working on.
She is even starting to be a crafter herself (she likes to paint).
My boyfriend (Ryan) is wonderful, and although he is not her father, he is a great parent. He has been very patient with Molly and I with all of the supplies that go along with living with crafters.

Lately I have been enjoying sewing, and crochet work, especially with winter coming. I make all kinds of things though. I make jewelry, wire work, and cross stich. I have even tried candles and soap (did not enjoy that as much though).

So anyway if any of these things sound interesting to you please stop by my shop at www.sue114.etsy.com and support my crafting habit.
